Mbala Biloa is the founder and president of the association of Cameroonian market women, known simply as Bayam Sellams, ASBY. As head of the institution, she has on several occasions, campaigned for the wellbeing of the market women both in their line of business and other aspects of national life. Besides campaigning for the wellbeing of the women, Mbala Biloa who has led the association for more than 10 years, have on multiple occasions, equally led the women into adopting behaviors that favor the growth of the nation including maintaining the prices of items at affordable levels.
Her efforts have led to authorities holding consultative meetings with the association and other bodies, notably leading to the inclusion of the market women in major national activities, including those concerning the hard political activities of the nation. The association has at that level, collaborated with dozens of ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries and that of agriculture, amplifying the voices and activities of the market women.
