A gang known for terrorizing residents and stealing motorcycles has been arrested by local police, bringing relief to the Obala community.
After weeks of fear caused by a gang, people in the Obala area can now live normally thanks to a successful police operation. For many weeks, people living near the Obala crossroads and Nkolmelen interchange lived under threat. Organized criminal groups were causing fear through acts of intimidation and violence. This serious security problem disrupted daily life for local residents, according to inhabitants.
This climate of fear ended after a targeted operation led by the Commander of the Obala Police Brigade, Head Adjutant Major Jean Marie Koung, and his team. Their quick and coordinated action stopped the criminals and made them unable to cause more harm. The suspects, per the commander, will be presented to the justice system.
Commander Jean Marie Koung stated that the gang was known for, in his words, “spraying magical perfumes on motorcycle riders’noses to weaken them and steal their vehicles.” The commander is calling on citizens to be vigilant to avoid being victims of that, most especially taxi drivers on their night rides. As a result, daily activities have returned to normal.
The Obala community is thanking the security forces for their professionalism and quick response. A criminal gang involved in stealing motorcycles and assaults has been taken down in Obala. The gang leader, Bebolo Bendit Junior, try to explain the methods they used for theft and the different items they employed. In front of them were different instruments used to carry out their acts, but according to Bendit Junior, the magical sprays were the most frequently used.
