As the nation holds its breath for the presidential election results, Yaounde young leaders are standing together with a powerful message of peace and unity, urging everyone to reject violence.
Young leaders in Cameroon have made a strong promise to protect the peace and unity of their country. This important commitment came during a large meeting at the Yaounde Reunification Monument on Friday.
The gathering happened at a critical time. The whole nation is anxiously waiting for the official results of the 2025 presidential election. The President of the National Youth Council, Fadimatou Iyawa Ousmanou, speaking on behalf of all the youth representatives. She clearly stated that acts of vandalism and attempts to manipulate young people are wrong.
She emphasized that such destructive behavior goes against country’s values. It also betrays what the majority of Cameroonian youth truly want for their future. The youth leaders are calling for calm and patriotism from everyone. Their gathering front sends a clear signal, the next generation wants a stable and harmonious country, no matter the election outcome.
